Hi Jeff,

Showing images from other sites can sometimes piss off other webmasters for stealing their bandwidth.

Is there a way we can CHMOD our images folder to 777 and have all the images downloaded to our server and display them from our own websites? We can always have a link to the original.

This will have a two fold advantage:

1) Our sites would show up on image searches.
2) The webmasters won't get pissed off.

Yeah, that's completely possible. However, at that point, you really are stealing their images and hosting them on your servers. That causes a number of potential legal hassles. So the answer is yes, it could be custom built into the program. But no, I won't be building it in.

Your suggestion makes perfect sense from most angles, so if you're willing to build it in custom, you may want to contract that out for your own sites.
