Installing the update 1.0.2

I thought I'd ask you from the forum this time to share my problem.

I'm having trouble with the upgrade. Maybe I should have just updated the existing DB and files, but I deleted the original DB and files for a an existing Kwikcontent domain. Then I re-created the DB and uploaded all the new files for a domain, did everything in the instructions, but when I go to the website, there is just a blank page, until I try going to the admin page and then get the error below. I've double and triple checked all of the configurations and can't figure out what's wrong. Any ideas?
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

1) Check if .htaccess exists in site's html directory. If not, you can rename htaccess.txt to .htaccess

2) Check if you renamed /includes/_global.php.rename to /includes/_global.php

If that doesn't solve the problem, PM me with the domain details and I'll be glad to take a look!
My installations still aren't working. I'm installing everything and following the directions exactly, but when going to the url in the browser, I'm getting the blank page/HTTP 404 page not found.
So troubleshooting, I looked for the .htacess file and don't see it in the KC upgrade's group of folders, even if I am viewing hidden files in explorer. So then I copied the old one (previous version) and pasted it to the root directory of the new domain. The properties say it's a HTACCESS file so it's not a .txt. the file manager of my host, I copied it from a domain that's working to the new domain and it still won't work. Any other ideas if it's not the .htaccess or global_php file? Anybody else having this problem?
Just to let everyone know...the reason it wasn't working was because the DNS settings were'nt pointing to the right host. Doh!
